m-cklemore:

First heard of M&RL late 2012. I remember asking people “have you heard that song thrift shop?”. It wasn’t very popular, but it was on the radio, and no one knew what I was talking about. So I started listening to them more and more and figured that they were gonna be a one hit wonder, and I’d be one of those few fans that would stick around after the media calmed down. But the song blew up way bigger than I imagined, and became a gateway song to promote their other songs/messages. It was insane, and I was there witnessing it all. I saw them in NJ at skate and surf, but the crowd was so insane I barely saw the tops of their heads. So then I saw them at MSG in NY, and, unimaginably, I actually met them at the fan appreciation party. It’s been a long time. So now I’d like to officially say, happy birthday Ben!
